Florida gets first win of tournament, beating France 10-6

In a consolation game, North Palm Beach County Little League from North Palm Beach, Florida matched up against Ile-de-France Little League from Paris, France.

France jumped out to an early 3-run lead, but Florida came back with 9 runs in the last three innings to get their first win of the tournament, 10-6.

For Florida, Drake Flowers went 3-3, with a walk, 2 RBIs and 2 runs, and Jake Bello hit a home-run and double, finishing 2-2 with 3 RBI. Nicky Espinoza also went 2-4 with 2 RBI.

France was making their first trip to the Intermediate World Series, and although they did not get a win, they were very impressive.  Phillip Bird led the offense, going 3-3 with a home run and 2 RBI.  Mathis and Tanguy Meurant also had two hits each.
