Texas wins Back and Forth Contest, 11-10

Western Little League from San Angelo, Texas pulled out a 11-10 win in the bottom of the 7th to stay alive in the Intermediate World Series.  Texas took a 7-2 lead after 4 innings, but watched the team from North Palm Beach County Little League fight back on two different occasions to tie the game going into the 7th.

Texas pounded out 12 hits, including home runs by Cayden Box (3-4, 3 RBI, 4 runs) and Jakob Charles (2-4, 3 RBI, 2 runs).  Ethan Green and Robert Moreno also collected two hits for Western Little League.

On the mound, Jakob Charles pitched 3 1/3 strong innings (4 K’s, 3 hits, 1 earned run) before leaving with a minor injury.

For Florida, Nicky Espinoza homered (1-3, 3 RBI), and Jack Seavy and Jack Bello each collected two hits.

With the loss, Florida has now been eliminated from the Intermediate World series

Texas will play its next game game on Wednesday August 2nd at 12pm PST

Florida will play a consolation game on Thursday August 3rd at 9am PST against France.
