Cacique Mara Little League from Maracaibo, Venezuela was all tied up with Diamond Baseball Little League from Mirabell, Quebec after four innings, 2-2. In this elimination game, the winner advances while the tournament ends for the loser.

In the bottom of the 5th, Newremberg Rodon came to the plate with two on and two outs. After a first-pitch ball, the next pitch he saw was a high fastball, and he hit his second home run of the tournament to deep center field to break the tie and give Venezuela a 6-3 lead that would end up being the final score.

Prior to this World Series, Newremberg had not hit a home run all year. Now he has two homers on the year, and this was by far the biggest. Jackson Chourio also had a big game, going 2-2 with a RBI, walk, and scoring 3 runs.

Luis Fuenmayor was dominant on the mound. In 5 1/3 innings, he did not allow an earned run, surrendering only 2 hits while striking out 4 batters. He said he felt relaxed on the rubber, and his best pitch today was his fastball.

Manager Jackson Chourio said his team felt a little too relaxed when the tournament begun, but the team has been more focused since the first game. He also said that all the families and friends are back home watching all the games on the livestream feed.

This team has only been together since November of last year, with 5 or 6 new players from the 2016 team.
