Intermediate World Series
What: The 9th World Series and first in the baseball-rich state of California will feature the new rules of the newest division of Little League International.
- The inaugural Intermediate World Series was played on Livermore, CA on July 30th - August 5th, 2013.
- Williamsport just recently announced that the Intermediate World Series will return to Livermore in 2014. Tentatively the 2014 World Series will start on Tuesday July 29th, with the Nationally televised Championship game to be held on Monday, August 4th.
Who: It is not clear yet how many teams will participate in the 2014 Intermediate World Series.
In 2013, ten teams from around the world will participate in the Inaugural Intermediate World Series
- US – 6 teams (Central, East, Southeast, Southwest, West, and Host team from CA District 57)
- International – 4 teams (Asia-Pacific, Canada, Latin America, and Puerto Rico)
